Jackson Howard

Minister of music

Jackson serves as the Minister of Music at First Baptist Church, Valley Mills, where he conducts the Ministry Choir and Youth Choir. Additionally, he is in his first year as Director of Choirs for Whitney ISD. Jackson recently finished his Bachelor of Music in Church Music at Baylor University. While at Baylor, he sang in the A Cappella Choir and Chamber Singers, and he studied under Dr. Kimberly Monzón, Dr. Kristina MacMullen, and Dr. Randall Bradley. Previously, Jackson served as Music Intern and Choral Scholar at Chapelwood UMC, Choral Scholar at Seventh and James Baptist Church, Music Intern at First Baptist Church of Conroe, and Director of Music at Mooreville Methodist Church. In recent years, Jackson received the Ray Luper Award for excellence in church music and sang in the Texas All-State Tenor-Bass Choir. He holds memberships in the Texas Music Educators Association and the American Choral Directors Association. In his free time, Jackson enjoys reading novels, running, watching Baylor sports, and visiting the emus on his parents’ farm. Jackson is thrilled to continue his service to the Lord in Valley Mills, and he is enthusiastic about what God is doing through the music ministry!
